How much does it cost to replace a garage door spring in Orlando?
Most spring replacements run $200 to $500 installed for a matched pair, depending on the weight of the door. We replace both springs because they wear at the same rate, and you approve the price before we begin.
Do I need a permit for a new garage door in Orlando?
Yes. Even inland, a replacement garage door needs a building permit and an inspection, and the door must carry a Florida Product Approval for the design wind pressure at your address. The permit comes from the City of Orlando inside city limits and from Orange County in the unincorporated areas.
My opener stopped working after a thunderstorm. Is it dead?
Not always. A surge often damages only the logic board, the wall button or the sensors, and those can be replaced for much less than a new opener. We test each part before recommending anything.
Will my HOA need to approve a new door?
In most newer communities, yes. We give you the product sheet, color, window layout and approval number so you can submit a complete request.
Can you come the same day?
Often, especially for a broken spring or a car trapped in the garage. You get an arrival window when you book, and if today is full we tell you the next opening.
Why did my spring break when the house is not that old?
Springs wear by use, not by age. A standard spring is rated for about ten thousand cycles, and a family using the garage as the front door can reach that in under ten years. We can fit higher cycle springs if you want them to last longer.
